You’re here because you want a live wedding painting that you will be proud to showcase in your home, not just an interesting painting that was made at your wedding. You want to be transported back to your magical wedding day by the intricate details captured in your painting. I work closely with the bridal couple , hand-selecting the recognizable people that will be added in the painting before the wedding day.
Artistic Style
My portraits are impressionistic, but attention is drawn to detailing of the wedding attire, accessories and decor.
CALENDAR AVAILABILITY
Your first move should be to confirm availability on your date as soon as possible. This also determines if another artist will be a better fit. Once a date has been confirmed, we can set up a meeting either by video call or meet-up to further discuss your special day and what is required.
WHAT TYPE OF PAINT/MATERIAL DO YOU USE?
I paint with high quality water-based acrylic paint on pre-stretched canvas. The paint is extremely quick drying, allowing for easy cleanup and transport of the painting after an event.
CAN YOU REQUEST WHO IS FEATURED IN YOUR WEDDING PAINTING?
Of course! Your painting will reflect your VISION. We will discuss this list ahead of time, and you will assign someone (usually your wedding planner or a family member) to point out your chosen guests to me during the reception.
WHAT SPECIAL PROVISIONS ARE REQUIRED FROM THE VENUE?
My setup is minimal and usually does not require assistance from event staff. I supply my own portable easel/table. Your site only needs to arrange for a small painting area in advance of my arrival, indoors or outdoors. The site also needs to have a nearby water source, for my paint/brushes.
WHERE AM I LOCATED, AND WOULD I TRAVEL TO A VENUE?
I am located in the Algarve, Portugal and travel throughout the country and internationally. Travel and accommodation is charged above the initial fee. If it is needed that the painting be couriered to you after the wedding, then this cost would also be added to the fee.
COLLABORATIONS
An extra package is also offered. This package is a collaboration between myself and a very talented artist @jaurne.paints. (Contact details supplied on request)
This allows for two different artists capturing this special day using different styles and mediums. The bridal couple is captured on canvas in acrylic, the guests on cold compressed water colour paper and water colours. Her style is impressionistic but captures the guests attire and accessories.
